Privacy Policy

Last updated: 22 October 2026

Yojis is a small task list app for Windows and macOS, made by Jim Roton ("I", "me"). This policy covers every version of Yojis, including copies installed from the Microsoft Store, the Mac App Store, and direct downloads.

Summary

Yojis does not collect, store, transmit, sell or share any personal information. It has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking, and it never connects to the internet.

Information Yojis collects

None. Yojis doesn't ask for your name, email address or any other personal details, and it has no way to send information to me or anyone else. Yojis contains no networking code, and the Mac version runs in Apple's App Sandbox without network access.

Your tasks stay on your device

The tasks, groups, due dates and settings you enter are saved only on your own computer, in ordinary files that you control:

I can't see or access these files. Uninstalling Yojis leaves them in place, so a reinstall picks up where you left off. To delete your data completely, delete that folder.

If you back up your computer or sync these folders, for example with OneDrive, File History, Time Machine or iCloud, your backup may include these files. That's handled by those services under their own privacy policies.

Reminders

If you set a due date, Yojis can remind you with a notification from your computer's own notification system. Reminders are created on your device from your own tasks and aren't sent anywhere.

App stores

If you get Yojis from the Microsoft Store or the Mac App Store, Microsoft or Apple may collect information about your download, purchase or device under their own privacy policies. I don't receive any personal information from them about you.

Children

Yojis is suitable for all ages. Because it collects no information from anyone, it collects none from children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this same address with a new "Last updated" date.
